This mini-Predator might be the cutest piece of cosplay that you will ever see. It’s also pretty damn accurate if you’re a fan of the movies. The only difference is that when this Predator removes his helmet, you’re greeted by sheer cuteness instead of horrifying fangs.

Now if we can get him a meeting with Carl Weathers where he reenacts Dillon’s demise from the original Predator, I think I can die happy. Instead of blood we can use maple syrup, it’ll be great.

Improv Everywhere is one of my favorite things about living in New York. I’d probably love it even more if I wasn’t an agoraphobic shut-in who only leaves the apartment to throw rocks at Lena Dunham when she films across the street from me. But hey, enough about my sex life. In this video, someone got all dressed up in spandex and got ready to shoot some webs. Wait, I thought we stopped talking about my sex life.

In the latest of their Movies In Real Life series, Improv Everywhere played out a scene with Spider-Man. Could it be from the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2? No, but I get paid per hyperlink, so you’ll click that and you’ll like it. This video, directed by Charlie Todd, is totally unlike the usual Improv Everywhere missions. They dialed the humor back in favor of spectacle, by having Spidey leap off of a 20 story building to rescue a kidnapped Mary Jane Watson. While many New Yorkers gathered to watch, some were totally unaware of Spider-Man’s presence until he swung to the street, literally a few feet away from them. How can you safely pull off a stunt like this without anyone knowing? Charlie Todd explains:

We worked with parkour and stunt performer Richie Rodriguez, who is no stranger to these types of jumps. We also partnered with the Brooklyn Climbers Association and had some of their trained professionals on board to oversee the safety of the stunt. We were confident this was something we could pull off safely, but there were many x-factors. We had no permission or permit for any of this. Our team found a building under construction on 34th Street that gave us easy roof access. We were able to sneak up our equipment over the course of three weekends.

Rodriguez looked good in that Spidey suit. I wonder if he got any packaging tips from Andrew Garfield?

We’ve seen the same three pugs (Roxy, Blue, and Bono) dressed up as Game Of Thrones characters last Halloween, but now pet owners Sue and Phillip Lauer have teamed with Josh Hittleman and blinkbox to make a short film with the pugs to celebrate season four being available on blinkbox. So, yeah, it’s an advertisement, which the making of video makes even more clear. But it’s also pugs dressed as GoT characters. Damn you, advertisers; you’ve discovered my weaknesses. Last year we celebrated Independence Day with Captain America GIFs and shared not one but two galleries of Captain America cosplay. Yesterday we kicked of the merrymaking with a gameplay video of Hitler getting shot in the nut (singular) and, of course, a classic picture of Captain America punching Hitler in his dumb Nazi face.

The vicious side-eye Luigi gives his opponents in Mario Kart 8 spawned a meme which became so popular we even did a second meme roundup for it. Now there’s even cosplay of the Luigi Death Stare, as Luigi and a battery-powered car were at Anime Expo 2014, tossing a stuffed green shell at other cosplayers then mean mugging at the camera. Bonus points to the guy at 1:50 for responding as one should to this surly, toilet-snaking S.O.B.

Luigi is being cosplayed here by D-Piddy. At first I thought he might have been throwing that shell at people without their permission, then I remembered this is the same guy behind the many Dancing Deadpool videos, so he probably knows these people. Then again, many of them look genuinely surprised, and some of those Kill La Kill cosplayers are probably glad they secured their clothes with body tape.

“The inscription on Thor’s hammer reads ‘Whosoever holds this hammer, if HE be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.’ Well it’s time to update that inscription,” says Marvel editor Wil Moss. “The new Thor continues Marvel’s proud tradition of strong female characters like Captain Marvel, Storm, Black Widow and more. And this new Thor isn’t a temporary female substitute – she’s now the one and only Thor, and she is worthy!”

This is a much better approach than we’ve seen with many other gender-swapped superheroes. I like that they’re simply referring to her as Thor — because she is doing Thor’s job — instead of changing the name to She-Thor or Thorgirl or Thora Birch or whatever. We can see she’s female, you don’t have to tack a neon sign on her name. We’ll suss it out.
